The National Marine Aquarium
Today we decided to have a visit to the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth
Now although we live about 12 miles from Plymouth it’s quite rare that we bother to make a trip into the city unless it’s to visit family.
However today we decided to head to the National Marine Aquarium which is somewhere we have visited before but not for some time.
We decided to park in the public car park which is next to Lockyers Quay. Parking is fairly reasonable for Plymouth at £4 for 3 hours.
We bought the tickets prior to going in via the website. This way we got to use the fast track process. Although the tickets were reasonably expensive at around £64 for the 5 of us, you do get to sign up to a year return ticket which means that they take your photo and you can return as many times as you like within the next year.
Although we have visited before the kids still enjoyed seeing the variety of different sea creatures. Now we did visit the Grand Aquarium at St Malo in France a few years ago and although the National Marine Aquarium isn’t a patch on St Malo it is still quite good for an afternoon out.
