Well, what a great time we had on our Gran Canaria Holiday! After reading some dodgy reviews on trip advisor I have to admit we were a little concerned about Aparthotel Rondo.
We went on holiday with my friend and work colleague, his wife and young son and the holiday had been chosen by myself and my friend.
When we read the reviews in work one day we were unsure as to whether we should tell our other halves but eventually I bit the bullet. Well let’s just say we shouldn’t have worried because the reviews we read were obviously from people who didn’t have a clue.
We drove to Bristol airport on the day of departure and got ready for our holiday. Prior to going to the airport, I had booked tickets for the Airport lounge which I had never done before.
The service, food and free beer were great.
Flying to Gran Canaria
My three children had never been on a plane before and DevonMum hates flying!!!
Luckily they all absolutely loved the experience with all three grinning like Cheshire cats throughout the flight. We had been well prepared beforehand making sure we had a couple of tablet PCs along with our phones and iPods filled with their favourite programs and games.
We landed in Gran Canaria and the heat was perfect. Hot enough without being too hot. We jumped on the transfer bus and headed off to the hotel.
The Hotel in Gran Canaria
On our arrival, we were surprised to find a great hotel complete with a really nice looking pool. The hotel was spotless, clean and tidy and the staff were extremely friendly.
We booked in and were told about the apartments opposite where we were able to use the pool and bar.
As soon as we’d unpacked we ventured downstairs and all jumped in the pool.
The holiday was really enjoyable and the kids loved going in the pool every day. If was unlike other holidays we normally go on as generally we go to France on a camping holiday but i would certainly consider doing something similar again.
